Bucksaw had one for sale the other day like you described. You might check with him.

Forgive my ignorance, but are you allowed to carry a fixed blade knife outside of hunting in Texas? I thought it was regulated by 'The Man' and even folders had to be of a certain length...I think it was the blade could not exceed 4 inches.

Its OK to carry as long as it is a single edge blade no longer than 5".

I have a few that I will be turning out pretty soon. I will keep updates on here as I finish them. If you want a custom, I can hook you up. I don't get as fancy as some on here, but I can make it as plain or as pretty as you want. Just let me know and I will work with you.

Here are some I cut out yesterday. Range from 5 1/2" with a 2 1/4" blade on the far left, to a 7 1/2" with a 3 3/4" blade on the 4th one. The last 2 are already sold, and would be a little big for everyday carry anyway.

Check the Ontario Rat3. Blade length cannot exceed 5.5" for carry in Texas.

I e mailed Knifes of Alaska . Trying to get them to make a folding double lock blade knife. I carry an old 60's K-bar folding I like two blades one sharp to cut and one for everything else only thing the blades don't lock.......Andy

What you plan on handling the first one with and what price range. What she don't know won't hurt her. also I like the more less finished look of the blades. So less pretty, more of the black shale stuff like on te one I purchased from you. Would want a sheath also.

This is the one I carry, but I carry it in a neck sheath instead of on the belt. Cutting edge of 2 1/2" and 6 3/8" overall.

cjkozik here on the forum makes some great knives. I have a couple of his with a couple more on the way. They are made out of old files. He does great leather work on the sheaths too.

doesn't matter if fixed or folder, blade length just has to be less than 5.5" and single edged.
