Anybody else getting skunked this weekend?

First skunk of the year last night. Wind is wrong today so I'm sitting at home. They had to have moved yesterday morning because all the corn was was gone.

I sat in a blind this morning from 6:00am until noon. Saw a yearling buck and that was it. Before I left I went around and filled feeders and the morning throw was still on the ground at each one.

Well I think I am going to get my first skunk this season. Not a lot of light left.

Same here. We are seeing deer driving to and from stands but nothing coming to feeders. It's the greenest I have seen it all year. My son did shank a javelina this morning. Other than that between Friday evening to Sunday and 8 sits between the both of us that's it. Got some nice bucks on camera though.

We did too... Both at the lease in Brown county and at home in Erath county!!! Very strange, we have had deer at both places all year long, but zero this weekend.

5 days and not one deer seen. Notice I didn't say hunted all 5, we got hung up in a jar of cinnamon flavored shine and a dice game. I lost at both!

Not skunked, but I missed a doe yesterday morning. Actually I would rather get skunked though.

Were by Ft Mckavett and we didn't see almost anything this weekend. Our game cams show most animals are moving between 9 pm and 4 am. I did have a nice buck come out today, but stopped halfway out, stuck its nose out in the air, and turned around and left. It's the lull for sure. I read that adult does go into heat right after Halloween, and that's when the big boys start to come out during daylight.
