I have a similar arm made by them (HME) with a fixed hook on the end. Drilled a hole out near the end and put a stainless screw through it that would attach the Bogen fluid head I had.

I don't hang anything on it because I am worried about too much weight crashing my video camera to the ground

I may go by and check to see if I can pick up a couple of those arms to hang my bow though

Yeah? Cool! I would be nervous about that as well. I do have couple screw in hooks right now at my location. It's for like backpack, Quiver and such.

I may get one as well for bow only.

      Good luck!

        Tree Hanger @ Academy!!!

Here's the update after field test past weekend. Noticed that the arm is way too small. I had already bought another one few days after posting this.

Here's what I bought that cost 3 bucks or something today at the Home Depot. This is a 1/4 bolt. I bought two 2 1/4" and 2 1/2" along with washers.

I drilled hole on one end where it screws in the tree. The hole will be for mounting the camera.

I didn't want to take these apart in case I needed two arms for each spot in pinch. I can take em off and have two arms for each spot.

        Here's the image of everything.

This is what it looks like. Now I have a longer arm which allows me to move em around since the limb dictates how I mount it and how I need it to be positioned.

I drilled two more holes for the hook to be mounted. I can use it to hang my rangefinder, bino or light duty stuff to be hanged on the hook!

Voila! I got a cool vid cam tree arm with hooks and longer arm to be able to move em around wherever it needs to be. For cheap!

It also folds up nicely to fit in backpack.

Also another thing this works best if it's being mounted to your side, not parallel where you sit.

When it's mounted to your side where you sit. You can manipulate up and down by turn clockwise or counterclockwise for cam to be lower down or upward.

As opposed to screwing parallel to you. You can't manipulate it cause it becomes parallel to you stiff. You only can manipulate camera horizontally or vertically.

        Thank you for reading.
