    Fossil questions

I have spent most of my life outside and for the past 8 years I have been in construction. During the dirt work faze I like to keep my eyes peeled for any kind of fossil that we dig up. Here are some of my favorite.

This guy is double sided but I have no idea what he is. Any ideas?

A couple I find quite often.

    A little more rare.

Probably my favorite. It kind of coils around like a snake with bumps on it.

I found this one when I was a kid at our place in Grandview and always thought it was a dinosaur bone. If anybody has any ideas as to what they are please let me know. My kids and I love to fossil hunt and having names for the things we find would be pretty awesome.

I have no idea what they are, but the pics are pretty cool. I may need to start doing this with my kids.

Look up coiled nautilus. A type of marine cephalopod.

        Or ammonite

Thank you sir! The three that look alike are ammonite. The one with bumps looks like an ammonite mariella. Well that narrows it down to two. The bone and the giant two sided clam looking thing.

I can't tell you much about the other two. I've slept alot since paleontology (and also in paleontology). Haha.

Well I think I found the first two pics. Looks like a Inoceramus labiatus. Not that the names help much though. Not a chance I'm gonna be able to pronounce them lol.
