    Deer Processing near Seguin?

Does anyone have recommendations for a good processor near Seguin?

We hunt in that area and it would be nice to drop it off at a good local place instead of hauling it back to the house... plus it would give me an excuse to go hunting again when it is time to pick up the meat.

Granzeens is awesome. They will process YOUR deer and send YOUR deer back. They do good work and are right on the price.

I didn't realize they had a Seguin store. How does their stuff taste? Is there anything special I have to try if I go there?

I have them make my sausage (Granzins in new braunfels) it's good! They also make summer sausage with cheese and jalapeño, that's good to.

For sure! Love this place. We take deer all the way there from our place in Henly. Also, I picked up our angus steer from the yesterday. IMO they are the best I have seen.

I also like Hudsons in Austin during bow/mld season. I dropped three deer there Monday morning and it was my three deer and two elk from New Mexico. They dont batch process until later in the season.

I have never had anything that was not good from there. A big plus is that vacuum pack is at no additional charge.

Yes. They make the thicker softer kind of jerky. I liked it but prefer to have thin and well cured.

Like Rubydog said, it is the thicker kind with a higher moisture content. It is excellent if you like that style.

Thanks for the recommendation y'all. I shot a 165ish pound boar a few weeks ago and dropped it off to Granzins. I got 25lbs of burger and the rest in dry sausage.

My buddy shot a spike this weekend so I picked up my pig while he dropped off his deer and I passed out a few packs of the dry sausage to the guys in our camp. So far everyone who's tried it loves it!

I got the regular dry sausage with garlic and even my wife loves it and that's saying something because she's super picky about the meat she eats.

Dried sausage, spicy mix with double garlic and double black pepper. Same with buck sticks. I also like their spicy jalapeno cheese salami/summer sausage. I live in Seguin but have never use the store here. I have always used the store in NB. Think I'll give 'em a try this year.
