From Windows to Apple converts

I am looking into converting to iMac from windows. Sick and tired of computer crashing even with virus protection. Anyway, other than an iMac and a printer, what did you need to add to connect/work with the Windows world? It will mostly be used for school work.

I use both. It's hard to network them to share on the same network, but can be done.

As far as everything else, out of the box is perfect for everyday use. No extra software or accessories.

I learned on an old ibook and my gf has a sweet power book.
They are great for getting work done proficiently!
