    have you ever wondered WHY?

In America we all, poor and rich alike, have more than probably 80 percent of the worlds population yet we have such a high depression rate and suicide rate.
Take for instance me, I have a life that most in the world would die for. I make an ok living as a teacher, I have a great family, a few friends, and I get to hunt and fish when I want but there seems like still something is missing at times. Mainly when I see friends or even strangers that are madly in love with someone and then me sitting alone with nobody to love. I don't get down, but I do feel empty when that happens. Then I always think back to how blessed I am and thank God for what I have in life and just pray that one day he will send me someone to spend my life with. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my life and thank God for giving me what I have been blessed with, still on occasion there is emptiness just as I believe most of us have and I wonder why.

I hope this doesn't sound like a sad post as its not supposed to but just a reflection on what I often wonder. Why is it that us with so much seem to always think there is more that we should have?

because, in America we do not have to spend all day searching for food, water, shelter
and that frees up plenty of time to envy others,
I hope that you find that perfect partner because there is nothing better

When you find that perfect someone you will envy those who are sitting alone.

I don't know anything about your relationship with God, ( and its not my business ) so dont take this wrong, but my mom ( a preachers wife and devout Christian ) says that God left a hole in us that only He can fill. Many try to fill it with stuff, fun, people etc but only He can fill it. I do also believe there can be a certain empty feeling when you arent sharing your life with another person. Be patient, I know its easy to say but you will find someone. Unless you have chosen to be alone you will find someone, whether you are looking or not.

You go to church? Maybe consider going to a bible study and keep seeking God, and pray for GOD to send you a lady to fill your emptiness.

LOL thanks for the help fellas, but like I said I am perfectly fine with my life and God is a big part of it, I do my best to be thankful for what I have but everyday I see folks complaining about how life sucks. the ONLY thing that I could even almost complain about is being alone, but I don't let it get me down as I am thankful for all I do have. I just wonder why so many in the USA feel the need to hate life when they have more than most. I love my life.

Exactly, I was discussing this with someone not long ago. A society like ours has it so easy when it comes to the basics we need to find something to be unhappy about, some type of struggle to overcome. Don't worry man, you'll find a good one.
