Snake ID please!

Caught this little dude down here in the Catarina area in south Texas! Can y'all identify it? I thought it was some kind of garter snake but now I'm not sure!!

Pretty sure that's a Texas Garter snake. They have a number of different patterns...

Ive never seen a garter snake with its head shaped in a triangle....always been an oval shape....

Some snakes will flatten their head like that to trick predators.
