I've been watching this deer, Tall Brows, for four years starting at 3.5 and kept hoping he would pan out to something with his brows. Decided last year, we'd shoot him if he gave us an opportunity and he never showed his face. Thought he might have got himself killed until late January after season when he appeared out of nowhere with half his rack. He was prob a mid-upper30s deer if the other side matched, but of course, season was already over.
Fast forward to this year and he put on his best brows by far but the rest is down from last year. He's as big as a horse bodywise, but I can't get him over 120" horn wise... maybe not even 115" and this is in a good rain year. So..he's 7.5 with history and on a downslide, so we as a group put him on the mgmt list and I'm gonna try to run an arrow through him. He's open game to others here as well so I'm hoping he comes to "play" at my Seismic blind.
Always wanted to kill a deer with extra long brows and the stars never aligned so I'm excited about this one no matter the score.
Its 59 deg with a perfect NE wind and the Elite and Grim Reapers are thirsty! Y'all stay tuned...
