First of all, I wanna thank God for this opportunity. I literally prayed this deer in. No means a monster, but its my first trad kill and my first bow deer kill in 3 years! And next, I wanna thank Arvin and Deb for helping along the way. Actually, Arvin made the bow string.
Ok, so I forgot to take proper LDPs due to the fact that I didn't dress it out right away. I wanted my son to get in on it so by the time I got it home, 2.5 hrs had already past. Long story short:
Got in the stand around 3:30. Really windy out but not swirling much. Used its ozone maker called Scent Purge 50 for my hunting closet. I think it works. Anyway, nothing was seen or heard until about 5:30 when I heard a doe blow in the distance. Expecting not to see anything, I started playing spades on my iPhone. At 7 I heard leaves being crushed real softly. Paid it no mind until a saw the spike kinda hanging out. I heart literally beat out of my chest. I watched him for a whole cuz I didn't have a shot. Then, he turned on a hard quartering away shot. Do it die now. It's getting dark. I drew and aimed at his last rib. I released just as he looked up and turned. The 160 grain fixed blade (forgot the name) hit the lower part of his neck and came out his throat, slicing his windpipe into. Pure luck. He ran in some very heavy cover and I heard him crash secs later. Was on my hands and knees in that briar patch. Found him at 30 yards. I used a mint condition #45 pound Ben Pearson recurve for my first trad kill. Left the bow on top of my truck during the excitement and drove off, knocking a small chunk out of the riser. Spiked are 8 inches on both sides. Still pumped!

Tree stand was 50 yards from the truck and deer crashed 30 yards from it as well!
