Some Stand By Spots Open!!!

At Devils River Exotic Archery hunt this Oct 11-14. About 15 spots.
I called there to day, since I got drawn, to ask a few questions. The guy told me only 5 hunters paid for the permits. The hunt was for 20 permits. If nobody else shows up, me and 4 others will have the whole bunkhouse to ourselves!!!
Anyway, thought I'd pass this along incase somebody had the time off and wants to try for some exotics.

Yeah you're supposed to
But call the day before and folks running the hunt will have a pretty good idea of the number of spots open

Just call the place. If there isn't but 5 that has paid, I doubt anybody would drive that far and show up as a stand-by. They might let ya come in the next day, that Saturday.

That is crap. I put in for that one two years in a row and did not get drawn. Now, I am deploying and cant go!! Geez!!

Why do people put in for a hunt that are never gonna go anyway?
