    I just called corporate !

So for the passed few years I would go into this local Taco Bell and there's this Middle Aged lady that works the evening shift . As Many times as I've been in there and she's works she had always been the most up carrying person , always has a smile on her face, Works hard and is super friendly . Well today I decided to call corporate and commend this lady of being an upmost employer . As many fast food joints I have been too I like going to hay Taco Bell because she takes the time to ask how your day is going and welcomes you with a warm welcome .

Hope I did the right thing , this is the first time In my life ever calling a corporate company and telling how well one of their employers are .

Has anyone on the GS do such a thing ? And of so why ?

Good for you. I always tell my wife that people & actions are only commented on when something is negative.

Good for you! I have never went as far as calling corporate filling out survey cards is about as far as I have gone. Again Kudos to you!

Not a phone call, but I emailed McDonald's about a young gal in the De Soto McDonald's who was exceptionally friendly & helpful.

That's great! I bet 99.99% of the calls they get are complaints.

Good move. Im sure its hard to keep an upbeat attitude when dealing with people like that every day. I hope they reward her somehow. Ive never called corperate but I have asked to see the manager ( and once I called the manager ) and report excellent service beyond what is required. They always look/sound shocked at first.

Emailed Castrol one time to tell them about my truck that had 275,000 miles on it and I used Castrol exclusively.

I've emailed wing stop once after I got great customer service. I wasn't expecting anything hit they sent me a coupon for free fries.

We did some secret shopping for a local water entertainment co this year. They do take notice of exceptional service.

I've called/emailed corporate for both exceptionally good and bad service. And told local managers about both. If someone sucks they either need training or to go. If they are the best I'll tip hard and make sure management knows to keep them there!!

They are still probably in shock.

Many years ago, I had just gotten of work late and was on my way to a store 75 miles away where I had ordered an engagement ring. I was really pushing to get there before the store closed and I was pushing my ride which was a very fast Mustang. All of a sudden I see this old cowboy on the side of the road with his thumb out right in the middle of nowhere. I didn't have time but I turned around and went back. he had gotten stuck on his property and had walked out.

Now I was really late. I told him I would help him but had to go to said jewelry store first. I drove 130 plus mph on a bad road for about 25 miles and barely made it in time to pick up the ring. then I hauled him around to a couple of places until we got a tow truck that could help get him out. I scared the crap out of him but he tried to pay me anyway. of course I refused. He got my name and asked where I worked.

A year later, I was invited to a corporate awards ceremony with my company. On stage the company owner recognized me and read a fantastic letter written by the old cowboy who turned out to be a very influential politician who was out visiting his ranch.

Im sure his letter played a role in a promotion I received shortly thereafter.
