Scope for 17 HMR

Just bought a Savage 93R17 BTVLSS and I am looking for a scope to put on it. Most shots will be 100-150yds or less. Mainly plinking and varmint shooting.

I scoped my thumb hole .17 with a BSA red dot reticle from academy for 59.99 and I have never adjusted it again since I sighted in a 100 yards. It illuminates red with different brightness settings. I love it.

I have seen the BSA sweet 17 come up both here and on my other searches online, but the reviews seem really one way or the other. People either love them or say they are junk The price kinda scares me

Ive got a tasco world class 3x9x50 duplex reticle on my NEF 17. With a 100 yard zero and the 17grn bullet I can use the point of the scope where the heavy cross hair meets the fine and be dead on at 200. Roughly 6-7" drop

I ran into the same thing when I was looking a couple of weeks ago. The amount of terrible reviews scared me off eventhough many reviews were stellar. I ended up ordering a Nikon Pro Staff that was on sale at BPS but have not mounted it yet...waiting on rings to get here.
