I've got a tag that came on the bags with the nutritional value. I'll post a picture up when I get home.

I mix it 50/50 with cracked corn. They nail it. Use stabilized rice bran only! The stuff that isn't stabilized molds quickly. Pelletized is the best stuff. The feeder needs to prevent it from getting wet. (Like a protein demand feeder) I haven't had much luck using it in broadcast feeders. Once it gets wet they won't touch it in my experience.

deer on my place in hunt county love it, it is the base ingrediant in most of the attractants, acorn rage, chestnut magic, etc., and cheap.

            15% protein
            18% fat
            10% fiber

Buck Grub is basically stabilized rice bran with almond scent added.

And I'm not an attractant user any more, but ^ this stuff gets eaten.

Had a crappy home made gravity feeder that I used to feed protein..
Coons lived in that thing, so I bought a real protein feeder.

Well, I started putting buck grub in the trough of the wooden feeder and deer would consume 20 lbs of buck grub...in a night. They'd lick that wooden trough clean!

Then I found plain old stabilized rice bran in 50 lb bags for much cheaper but didn't get cleaned up nearly as quick.
I don't mess with it any more, just plain protein and corn.

I've heard for several years that rice bran works but I've never tried it myself. No baiting on public land...so my feeder fun and expenses are non existent.

The deer in Oklahoma bury their nose in it and inhale like Scarface, its like crack to them and they hammer it, wet or dry. We just dump it out on the ground.

I used it when I lived in Mississippi. Deer loved it early season and late. For some reason Nov and Dec they turned off of it. I moved back here to TX and last year tried it in Mauriceville. They didnt touch it all there.

Well it sounds like some deer love it and some deer don't care for it. Only one way to find out if my deer like it I guess!
