Rice Bran for Deer

I mix it 50/50 with cracked corn. They nail it. Use stabilized rice bran only! The stuff that isn't stabilized molds quickly. Pelletized is the best stuff. The feeder needs to prevent it from getting wet. (Like a protein demand feeder) I haven't had much luck using it in broadcast feeders. Once it gets wet they won't touch it in my experience.

Buck Grub is basically stabilized rice bran with almond scent added.
And I'm not an attractant user any more, but ^ this stuff gets eaten.
Had a crappy home made gravity feeder that I used to feed protein..
Coons lived in that thing, so I bought a real protein feeder.
Well, I started putting buck grub in the trough of the wooden feeder and deer would consume 20 lbs of buck grub...in a night. They'd lick that wooden trough clean!
Then I found plain old stabilized rice bran in 50 lb bags for much cheaper but didn't get cleaned up nearly as quick.
I don't mess with it any more, just plain protein and corn.
