    Trying something new.

I am heading out for my dads land in a few hours to hunt in atoka Oklahoma.i was wondering if tonight when I arrive if I should put out some ever calm around my feeder or if I should just wait till Sunday morning after my morning hunt. I don't know if it will help me with the deer being less spooky in my set up or if it will hurt me considering it will be a new scent in the area any advice?

I used it for the first time yesterday. Buck came in down wind of me and stopped to smell each branch I put it on. He was super calm and wasnt spooky at all.

I would wait until Sunday and then see what happens on the cameras after its been applied. If they are coming in now why take a risk?

I used it last Sunday, had 12-14 deer throughout the times I was in the stand. Not one of them, including the 4 different bucks that came in were nervous are spooked. In fact at one point, several fawns bedded down in the evening sun while the does ate. I rubbed a small amount on a tree withing 10 feet of were I hand feed.

Good luck...I'm hunting in atoka right now also. Feel free to come by camp if you want to share a cold one.
