Be thankful you've been on the Dave Ramsey plan.

It won't last long. The spineless wussy Republicans will cave sooner than later.

There have been 17 government shutdowns since 1977. They have lasted anywhere from 1 to 21 days. The average duration has been 6 days. There is a debt limit deadline coming in 2 weeks, so it may go past then, or it may reopen and then shutdown again. But either way, it probably isn't going to last very long. If we come out the other side with less Obamacare and/or less government waste and intrusion in general, it will be well worth the short term hassle.

So, do you get to charge the government penalties and interest on the back pay? I know they would do the same to you if the situation was flipped....

Sorry to hear that you and your co-workers are being used as pawns to push someone's agenda. Hopefully you guys are back to being paid soon.

So are you working and just not getting paid now or are you off and when the govt starts back up you get back pay even though you were not working? Sorry to ask but Im truly ignorant on how this usually works.

Sorry for your dilema.. unfortunate casuality of not holding our elected representatives in government accountable for their actions and spending.

Man thats tough. I dont think it will last too long though. Maybe you should go in late and leave early, take some three day weekends.
