    Mountain Bikes??

I am interested in getting a mountain bike and acessories for hunting but know absolutley nothing about them or the cost. Wanting to use it for New Mexico and Colorado for big game hunting. Looking to the green screen for information and personal knowledge about them. Any help would be greatly appreciated, pictures of your setup, how you would carry gun or bow. Do you use the bike cart or anything you have found to work better.

    Regards, Mudbone

Lots of pics and info here

I like trek bikes. They can be found used for affordable prices and they are a good solid bike.

Specialized, Trek, Kona, Gary Fisher, and Giant all make good entry level bikes. Get sized before you buy one. Look for anything that has Shimano parts. Get one with front and rear disc brakes. Buy used, couple of years old, for the best bang for your buck.

I bought a mongoose dual suspension mountain bike , stripped it , rhino lined it and added a handlebar gun rack. Works good just wish tires were fatter

Guy on tbh works for bikes direct .com and per his advise I picked up a bike. Then wife wanted one so I picked up another.
Smoothest best bike I have had for lower $

Both were 300 each. Local bike shop had similar for 600
Shimano gears-disc brakes on mine front and rear
Ride it every day. Tool few days to get used to seat but now I'm good. 8-9 miles every morning

I bought mine on Craigslist. I also got a kid trailer and gutted it and use it to haul my gear and bow.

I just use my bike and Eberlestock bow backpack, I haven't ridden a 4 wheeler in years out to the stand. I don't think a bow rack would work out real well. Too harsh of a ride. An old baby buggy cart would probably be a good idea to haul your game back in.
