    Very frustrated

My wife and I went to "A Place to Shoot" to shoot our bows to get ready for a hunt we have booked for tomorrow evening and we stopped at Academy to get some more broad heads and come outside to my truck alarm going off and a broken window with both of our bows gone. Police didn't really care and the insurance said they would only cover $200 worth of property. I hate the city.

Wow. Academys are the worst my dad and several friends have had their trucks broken into at the one in Lake Jackson. The manager said it a routine occurrence.
Their security is lacking to say the least.

Sorry hope they catch the parasites.

          Man that is rotten!

Sure wished they would stake out Academy parking lots as a regular operation. Most particularly during deer season when folks roll in for quick stops with trucks full of hunting gear. Even off duty Officers that want to make a bit of extra money.

My truck has been broken into and cleaned out twice, boat and fishing tackle once, house and gun safe once. I have a good insurance man, so no problems with replacement, but still sucks. I have no use for a thief.

That sucks. Academy, BPS, Cabelas, Gander Mtn., etc are all targets. Too many guns, bows, and knives are left in them in the parking lots. They can move those easily for good money.

If you can, give your serial number to the police. Make sure they enter it into TCIC. Don't worry about bothering them, its their job. That way if LEO run across those punks, they have a way to catch them. It also give the Detectives a way to check the pawn shops through special pawn sites. Sorry it happened to you, hope you can get it replaced.

That really sucks. Just curious, do you have hunting stickers on your truck? I've heard (not sure if its true) that your vehicle can be an easy target because of stickers, that they're more likely to look in your vehicle.

Sorry it happened to you!! You should be able to claim your bows on your homeowners insurance.

That definitely sucks. Sorry for you. Stay strong (as crazy as that sounds). Appreciate the folks on the GS that have offered their bow(s). Good luck and the best with insurance!
