Is it too early for central Texas bucks to wheeze?

I've never heard the snort wheeze in the wild, but my call has it and I researched it online. Don't have my horns with me.....

Well I heard 4 wheeze sounding noises behind me followed by a buck bellow. Might be something in my perimeter!

No snort wheezing is a sign of aggression. A mature buck this time of year in the hill country will Separate from his bachelor group and become less tolerant of other bucks.
    Could happen.

I saw two bucks fighting yesterday. It was a serious fight and went on for several minutes.
