I wasn't going to go but the rain stopped and I knew I needed to be in the woods. This was at 6:30. Got in the stand a little late, slow rain starts. No sooner I get settled in and check the wind direction, I have a small buck right behind me on the same trail I just walked in on. He turned off the trail to my left and walked right into my wind. Game over!!!
Stayed about an hour but rain started to get harder. Came on out. Hopefully this rain will move on out by this afternoon.

Nothing but birds for me here in houston county. Yesterday morning had an old doe come in but wouldn't give me the shot. I'm about to call it a day and head back home.

Heavy rain again this morning in Wood Co. I'll be out this afternoon! Saw nothing but cows yesterday!

Nothing yesterday. Got rained out this am. Sitting in camp now waiting for it to stop so I can pack up and head out. Hate to miss a hunt but I hope it rains all day. We need it!!
