Who Else Got Winded This Morning

Thought it was going to be a great morning. Wind was in my face and the only way I would get busted is if the deer came in the same way I did... Well wouldn't you know it, feeder goes off and a couple minutes later from behind my pop up I here the unmistakable sound of being busted. Later I did have a young buck and two young does come in and entertain me for a while.

    I hate being winded!

But I did take my frustration out on a coon that was fishing in the pond below the house after the hunt.
    KAC!

Not me. Had seven deer around me and a slight breeze blowing from me to the feeder. Besides all the precautions that I take, I must have been high enough up that my scent didn't carry down. Drilled a doe.

Getting up in a tree certainly helps IMO

Got busted around 6:30am but a doe and yearling came inside of 15 yards of my ground blind at 7am and stuck around for 15-20 minutes

I should have went to my other feeder. Signs there, but nothing at my creek feeder.

A squirrel was very curious what I was, 3ft away and couldn't stop starring and sniffing. Lol

Yep. As bad as getting winded. IMO

Winded twice by the same doe and yearling 15 minutes apart, even being 20 feet up. Wind was swirling in western Houston County.

Nope had 12 deer all less than 15 yards for two hours or better. I am a firm believer in deer heard in a stick though

We did. Before light. Then they wouldn't come any closer. Watched 3 does at 30-40 yds behind us most of the morning. didn't think they'd come from that way!
