The last 6 yrs never shot a deer past 18 yds. Had 3 that ifbid have had a hammer when they stuck their nose in the popup and smelled the camera I could have whacked them. Pigs I fling carbon out to 40 on. I know I can make that shot with no problem but not taking that chance on a deer with their reaction time out that far.

my average would be 15-20 yards for deer. Never shot a deer past 25. If the conditions were perfect and a non alert deer I would shoot maybe 50 but I just dont think its the best idea for deer. A lot can happen and they can jump the string. On hogs, who cares Ill shoot them at 60. The farthest was 55 yards. I just hate to gut shoot a deer and waste it!
