    Tyhuck is now Bucksaw

Well, I have decided to throw my hat into the ring of TBH knifesmiths. I have dabbled in it for a little over a year, and finally decided to see if anyone might want one. I have sold a few over Facebook, and some by word of mouth, but I figured that the way you guys like to buy handmade knives, I might see if mine would be good enough for you guys.

So, because I am now an associate sponsor, I als had the admins change my handle from Tyhuck, to Bucksaw to reflect the name of my little quazie business/hobby.

Check me out on Facebook at www.facebook.com/bucksawknives.

I hope to have a few posted up in the classifieds section shortly.

I'm liking those potbelly skinners you posted on Facebook.

Still have the purple and white pinpoint skinner with the crack?

No I gave that one to my sister to auction off at the YMCA where she works. I didn't want to let it go with the crack, but apparently they are in desperate need of money so she said she wanted it, crack and all.

Here is one of my first ones, after I decided to get more serious about it, and hang up the files. First attempt at heat treating. Everything went great until it warped on me during preheat. So, I just beat the crap out of it in frustration until it straightened out. Decided to go ahead and finish it anyway, and this is what turned out. Also first attempt at a sheath.

Here is one I sold to a friend of mine. She gave it to her husband for Valentines day. I doubt he ever used it.

Did one similar to this with a white oak base for my dad for Christmas. Cool thing about his was that the brow tine I used for his stand actually came off the same antler I used for the handle.

Did this one for my cousin who is a Sam Houston Alum.

Not the greatest attempt at file work though.

Nice little antler handled knife that I sold to the same guy who got the other for Valentines day. He bought this one for a local kid that he has half-way adopted. The sheath is a modified Tandy kit and was not my best attempt, but the little guy loves it.

I like that one and the other antler one on the other thread. Pretty awesome knifes. I'm the Tbh'er that expressed it from Houston to Nac for you haha. I just remembered that

This is my knife. I made it as a tribute to my alma mater, Stephen F. Austin State University. The handle is dyed maple burl with red and white spacers and stainless pins. Another failed attempt at file work. I didn't get it deep enough and sanded a lot of it out when I shaped the handle.

Here is one that I currently have for sale. Its an older one that I have redone several times as I learned something new. I didn't quite have all of the blemishes removed, and you can see some of my sanding marks in the blade, but it will make a heck of a pig sticker. Measures around 11".

I really liked this one. Its a mini skinner with a Mexican Bacote handle. The inside of the tang was actually hollow with the tang looping around the outside to catch the pins. Made it very light and nicelt balanced. Traded this one and a few others for a Ranch Hand brush guard from another TBHer. The whole knife was only 5 1/2" (IIRC).

Another early one with a Zebrawood handle. Its just a crazy design that popped into my head one day and I thought, "Why not?"

This one was actually made using the remenants of a bow riser that my budy was making. It has 2 veins of white fiberglass running through it and was pinned using brass tubes rather than pins.
