    Cleaning a straw hat

what do you all use to clean your GOOD (not work) Straw cowboy hats? And how?

    #2
Never had a non work straw hat a straw hat is a seasonal hat.

A straw hat is bought at the beginning of spring and thrown away at the end of summer because it is worn out & sweated through. Buy another one next spring.

My felts I spray with starch and brush off with a horse hair brush.

I'm with Randy, but you can clean a straw hat with ether.

I soak 'em good with Scotchguard when new and then just hose it off.

Just a wet rag is enough.

Wipe the cow **** off on your shirt tail and call it good.

I've been out of east Texas too long never really thought of them as seasonally disposable. I'm too hard on my hat there's no way I could wear a belt that any point in the year
