    draw hunt dilemma

I got drawn for two gun hunts, and wouldn't you know it, they are the same date. So, I'm asking for any input on which one to take.

    1) Gun Deer Antlerless/Spike at Enchanted Rock ... four whitetail deer(antlerless or spike buck, limit one spike), unlimited hogs and exotics

    2) Gun Deer Management at Mason Mountain ... two whitetail(either sex, limit one antlerless). Bucks must have 6 or fewer points. One axis deer, either sex. Unlimited hogs and coyotes.

The date is 12/3 thru 12/5.

    Thanks

I'd go ... other than Mason Mountain. Went there once on a youth hunt. They manage that place for exotics, not whitetail. Did not a see a whitetail at all. Maybe we had a bad pasture... don't know. But the pastures are high fenced, the cross fences are high fences.

          We did not enjoy it.

Mason Mountain! Great lodge, scenery, and people. And between my son and me we came back with 3 deer.

Had the same thing happen on archery. I chose the hunt with the higher permit number (0001).

Mason Mountain for no other reason that I would like to go there

Been to Enchanted Rock and from what I remember didn't look hunting friendly. Of course there may be lots more to it than what I saw

Depends on if you need meat or want to have a chance at a rack.

                    Meat: go with #1

Chance at a rack: go with #2
