What time for the afternoon hunt?

I was just wondering what time everyone heads out to the stand for the afternoon hunt. It doesn't hardly get dark until around 815or so. I know I will get some responses like its too hot to hunt time of the year or I sit in my stand all day. I really don't need those responses thanks in advance.

This time of year, around 4pm is a good time to get set-up. It really just depends what time the deer start showing up though, obviously. Mine start coming in around 4:45-5 so it gives me a little time to get situated.

an hour before my feeder throws. It's set for 5pm during Oct. Will change it when we fall back in November.

Later than normal. 4:30 or 5. I try to be in the shade.

if the heat is not an issue for you, I would say at least 3 hours before legal sunset.

We have our feeders going off at 5:30 so I like to be in my stand and ready to rock and roll by at least 5

4:30 this time of year for me. However, I hunt thick oak tree river bottom property, so it gets dark in the woods a bit earlier; which for our place right now is more like 7:30. By 8:00, it's too dark to shoot.

While its hot green and mosquitoes I get in @ 6-6:15. Feeder off at 6:20.

It's really too hot to hunt this time of year but when I do, I sit in my stand ALL DAY!

I usually try to get situated by around 4:30 or so. Then, as the sun starts getting lower, you really appreciate it!
