                  Is that Bill?

If so, I wish I could figure out how he does it. I have been trying to get a dove out of the air with my longbow for two seasons and have not been able to get it done. I have not been able to hunt dove this year.

                  Congrats!

We hunted them for a few years with our bows. We took wood arrows and glued flu-flu feathers to the shafts, took pistol shells and drilled holes in them and placed stiff wire in the end of the case and installed them on the front of the wood shaft. The stiff wire was probably 6" which made a "X". We found the doves flying into some tallow trees and we set up in the trees and waited until flying time. We must have shoot 100 arrows each and shot a few doves. Man you cannot beleive the "puff" of feathers when you hit one....

I saw somebody do something close to that but they tightly wrapped stiff wire around the shaft
