Indiana is a sleeper state, I was born and raised there. they have experienced a 800% deer population explosion in the last 10-15 years. Just depends on where you are hunting.
If you got an invite to come hunt with us, then you probably will be taken very good care of.
Most Farmers don't give permission to hunt for some just pulling up to ask if they can hunt their land.
Down south and up north the deer are huge and well fed on corn and hay fields.
Any 1/2 acre wooded lot can have deer even the one right outside of town.
Good luck and take some warm clothes, it does get cold up there.

I make several trips to southern Indiana every year (for work unfortunately). I've seen some great deer around the Mitchell and Paoli areas. Several of the guys I work with have taken some very nice deer on their family farms there.
I agree with the small acreage statement. Most of those guys hunt on 50 acres or less. Small wooded areas next to farm land (corn or bean fields) can hold lots of deer.

The place I can go is in or around Bloomington, its in south central Indiana. I'm trying to figure out what license I need cause they have a regular deer license and then a bundle deer license. It is private land and I'm a non resident I don't know if I'm miss reading the context of the DNR book
