    polaris ranger died

Drivening my 2006 polaris 700 xp ranger, and it just died.Wouldn't do anything,so i changed out the ECM module, and it started right up.Is there anything that I need to check ? I was lucky and had a extra one to try it with.Everything seems to be working right.

Had the exact same thing happen to my 2011 Crew. I did just as you did, the funny thing is, two days later my radiator cracked, bent a rear wheel, thus leaving me stranded and now my windshield is cracked...

You may have got it fixed and running right, for now, just be ready! haha

    Good Luck!

A bad ground or connection can cause a cdi or ECM to fry
Give your machine a once over

What does a new ECM cost?

my 800 runs hot, destroyed several axels, and have not been happy with mine. But I would lose a lot of $ to sell it and I would not want to sell it to someone and pass its problems to someone else. So I guess I will keep it, but mot real happy about it

The more I read on off-road forums and see here, the more I want to look at the Honda Pioneer over the Ranger. Hope yall get your bugs worked out.

I have an '06 700xp bought new in '05. Could not be happier! So far all I've replaced was a fuel pump and wheel bearings. This thing has been bullet proof! Hope I didn't just jinx it.

This is the third problem with mine first replaced the belt, then had a wire rubbed into, and know this not bad for a 2006 model bought new in 2005 also

Im with you on the mule it might only go 21 mph but that thing will go anywhere I want and has been really reliable.

2510 Diesel Mule here. Only really weak link I can point out is that if used in high water a lot and parked before having a chance to dry out good the bearings will freeze.

Got a Ranger too and they are nice and fast but I am not a fan of the power band and find it more of a riding machine than a work machine. Jumps too much when your trying to back up or ease up to something really slow and easy.

Other than that its been a WORK HORSE for 12 + years....

Same thing happened to my 05 Ranger 3 yrs ago, changed out the ECM and no problems since.
