From the looks of the tank I think its an Indian. There were several other manufactures around back then besides Harley and Indian so I could be way off base

Good find txjourneyman! I've never heard of a californian brand before. They had an old belt drive motorcycle motor on American Pickers the other night. I wonder how many people got their trouser leg caught in the belt on those old things?
