Baby mobile, kind of hunting related.

I could not find anything suitable for my first and only son who will be here in a few weeks so I attempted to make one from spare parts from my daughters and some little toys I found at Tractor Supply.

Looks good. My wife is doing the same thing, but using plush toys instead.

Nice! My mom made one for my youngest boy with a turkey in the middle and leaves on the outside. Can never start too early! Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are older......

Great idea. Imprint images of game animals in his mind early!

Thanks all. I wanted to use plush but could not find what I wanted. These made it a bit heavy but still works really good.

Get some red nail polish and mark where he needs to aim on each of them for broad side shots.

                Pretty cool.

But not to get all serious on you but mobiles are usually brightly colored or contrasted in color (black/white) because babies eyes can't see images for a bit after being born. So the contrast in colors or bright colors are so they can pick up on the objects. Not bashing or anything.

I learned it when I had my first boy. I had the same idea because I thought all the mobiles that were out were too "babyish" but after I read that, my wife made me, I just with with the store bought one. It still had deer but they were plush. That is why all their toys are so bright and their first little books that are plush are red/black, blue/white, green/yellow and so on.

I remember my kids responding to black and white the most.

Maybe hang a Zebra in there too!

                      Good job though!

I do the same thing and use them for Christmas ornaments. They are also great as decorations on birthday cakes.

Yup... I've had the same exact convo with my wife. I probably had less stache though.
