ABout time for a tpwd hunt

I finally got picked for a tpwd draw hunt, it's a management hunt either sex , 6 point or less for whitetail . I can harvest one axis deer either sex and unlimited pigs and varmints.

I was beginning to think I wasn't going to get drawn but looks like I'm going to mason mountain for the hunt .

Anyone ever been to mason mountain , for a hunt ? Is there bunch of axis out there ?

I think I have killed something on every draw hunt I've been on. It has generally been does or hogs. I have seen exotics or good bucks from a distance but have never had a shot opportunity at one. At mason mountain you should see plenty of animals. I think they do have some good numbers of axis so hopefully you will be successful. They also have some good bucks there but unfortunately they will only let you shoot 6 points or less. You should have a good time. Good luck.

Do they have feeders and stands ?

What's the chances of smoking an axis ?
