    remington 1100 cycle

Are there any particular shells that cycle best in the 1100 ?

The cheap shells do not cycle well. Stay away from super speeds and the like.

Everything except the cheap Winchester game loads with the short aluminum base cycles flawlessly in both of mine.

Both of mine eat anything I feed them

          Mine wouldn't feed Remington hypersonics

Mine really likes either Remington shut shot or Rios in 1-1/8oz 7.5s

Mine shoots anything but Winchester super x. High brass shells tend to shoot and cycle beat out of it

All four of mine will cycle any shell you put in them.

My 1100 12ga has shot everything I put through it. I usually get RIO for dove as someone earlier mentioned.

Everything that I have used always works in both of mine plus my 20 Ga. 11-87

I was getting very concerned about cheap shells, old shells, etc. until I replaced the o-ring in mine and now it cycles whatever I feed it.

Everything cycles in my 1100. When I got my first 1100 in 1974 (I think), one of the wads on the cheap Peter's low brass shells didn't clear the barrel and the next shot split the barrel about 12 inches behind the choke and blew back and burned my face a little (fortunately I had glasses on).

The retailer replaced the shotgun after some arguement that ceased when they were told I was shooting Remington (Peters) ammunition. One guy said "you should have sold that shotgun and your story to Winchester". Hindsight is 20/20.
