How much view do YOU need ?

As in , how much of a field of view do you personally want to have from your bowstand ?
I hunt a fence crossing that acts as a funnel for deer. I'm sitting over the trail they use entering my property. My field of view is 15 yards maximum, with one small lane to shoot thru.
This question is especially for the guys that hunt the thickets of East Texas. Maybe I can pick up some pointers from y'alls replies

I hunt in N Tx and I also hunt a funnel area by a creek.
I have one shooting lane and my longest shot is 20-25 yards.

one of my stands is a 30yd by 30yd opening out front and thats it, just thicket behind me. The other is in a island of trees in the middle of a foodplot that has 2 shooting lanes out to about 40yds.

I "like" to see a large area, but that doesn't happen too often in East Texas. Both of my current sets have me limited to a view of the feeder and just past it.

I like to have an area where I can shoot forty yards. I've had lots of success though hunting trails just like your doing. More than anything though I have to feel hidden

I like to see large areas, this way I`m able to see animals coming my way long enough to be ready for the shot but they can also see me from the distance, in my oppinion stands or blinds with just some yards of visibility around are better for ambushing game

Mine's very small cause I hunt primarily out of popups. But, I can only shoot about 35 yards, so guess it doesn't matter if I can see 100 yards.

I prefer long open views and got really luck on my new lease that I have an acre field that I am planting a food plot on and bow hunting on.

I have a couple setups with good views and 1 I can only see about 15 yards.
I prefer the open ones because I get less bored by being able see more area instead of starring at the same spot on the ground for hours

Yes sir, I like to sit somewhere that offers a nice field of view. But this particular set-up has me really limited. But, the amount of deer traffic at this crossing makes up for it
