    How is your deer movement....

Right now compared to this time last year? More patterned? Erratic?

Mine seem to be hitting feeders a lot more compared to this time last year. This is the Hill Country ofcourse.

I've seen more movement between 10am and 3pm than any other time of day. Compared to last year was all night time.

Feeding on natural food sources big time. Browse and natural forage is bountiful. Oaks are loaded with acorns too. Looks like another year for later feeder activity for mature deer. Young-un's seem to always hit a feeder here and there even with tons of natural food available.

Bad thing for us right now is we had a very wet summer thru early August then the facet for rain was shut down. We are very dry now and just put plots in last week. Now praying for rain and its looking like we'll get some in the next several days. Fingers crossed.

Also need rain as when its dry we get covered in hogs. We have one of the deepest and largest sections of a major creek for miles around that holds the best water in dry times. Hogs know it and tend to get very thick. Hopefully we'll get some rains again and spread them out. Luckily we usually have a thin hog population Oct thru Feb or March.

Havnt had a daylight picture yet. Maybe due to the dozer road work there doing on the lease only thing I can figure out. Not a single doe or fawn pic either. Lots of bucks from spike to 12 points have some real nice deer but all in the dark

there arent any acorns to speak of in freestone county where im hunting so they are murdering the feeders. Anything i put out is gone the next day. I put out 100lbs of deer dynamite (local made attractant) and it was gone the next day!! They are showing up to the feeders right after they go off!! needless to say im pumped

Parker, Hood, and Erath. Three separate places.

Hitting corn and protein in Eastland.

Pretty good mass crop of acorns at every place.

Same pattern as last year. Does during the day, bucks at night. The good thing is that we are seeing more quantity as well as fawns. The bucks will change here pretty quick, this week probably. When they split their bachelor groups feeding times change to closer to shooting hours.
