When you find out, let me know.

I'd kill to be able to get 20-25' up.

Man - y'all like to get high. It's more about cover and background than height. And just flat out being still. I have killed good bucks off a 6 ft-7ft tripod tucked in a cedar

No right or wrong answer. Depends on cover. Personally in East Texas I like 30 plus. But that is dictated by surrounding terrain.

I read about an older fella the other day that put his lock on about 2' off the ground. He was old and didn't want to fall, but thought his stand was comfy and wanted to continue sitting in it. He killed a few deer
Yes. One stand I had was 44.

The finger-thick limbs that high wounds hold it anyway.

If say it depends on environment. A normal tree. 12ft min.

I just read an article in OL and according to the author, 16'-20' is the ideal height. Your up high enough to be out of sight and the kill zone does not change much.

I got a hang on in the middle of a cedar tree no more than 6 foot off the ground and it's perfect great back drop and the cover on sides is great

I wish I didn't get scared above 12 feet. Sure wish I could break my fear of heights

Some of my coolest setups that I killed deer from we're only 12-15 ft max. It's all about cover.

I also have use a ladder to get to my climber locked onto a oak tree that no way you could climb. Tree lounge so comfortable I used it as lock on several times

No tall trees in del rio now
