I thought my wife was the only one who said this. Glad to know I have company. It always makes me laugh. I assumed it was because I was a fisherman my whole life and just started hunting the past 4 years so she is used to asking if I caught fish.

When people ask me if I caught anything I always say yes I caught a good one. They usually ask where it's at and I say that I am a firm believer in catch and release!

mine hunts and fishes so I have no problems with her hunt/fish terminology. The only problem I have is sometimes she catches more fish or kills a bigger buck.....And she usually kicks me out of the kitchen when we process meat because she says im too slow.

Same here. My wife knows by now...we don't catch anything except fish and coons raiding the trash

At least she isn't confusing you with a farmer and asking if you "harvested" anything.....

That one really burns me up. I kill animals and eat them. I plant vegetables in my garden and harvest them.

My wife does not say "catch". She says "shoot" then goes out and does it. She has the bigger deer on the wall right now.
