Im a New AWANA Game Director looking for Games

I'm the AWANA Games Director for our Church. this is my first year doing it.
I don't have a lot of games yet. Some of the ones I have used were hits some bombed worse than Hiroshima

    We have k - 6th in 3 separate groups
    Cubbies
    Sparks
    T & T

I do the games for all.

I've learned that with the Cubbies I need to have 7 - 8 games ready every Wednesday night. why so many you ask. Most end up Bombing.

With Sparks I try and have 4 -5 ready.

    T & T 2 - 3 games.

Everyone loves Kickball and Dodge ball. I was told we could only play those once a semester..

I do have some games that went well.
    Cat and Mouse.
    Steam Train
    Duck, Duck, Goose

I've been praying in frequently on starting an Archery Program also. I haven't put a lot of effort into it recently however.

My brother could help you he's been in charge of this for years at our church. I teach TNT and all those boys care about it Dodge ball. We have 40 pluse each Wednesday in TNT in a 1A town! Over 150 kids and nearly 100 youth showing up.

    God bless your work brother!

Gonna turn this over to my wife

We have races. One is the bean bag race where you break your group into 4 small groups and they race around the circle in our gym with the bean bags on top of their heads. The last one to race has to knock over their cone at the end. They cannot touch their bean bag while moving and if it falls off they have to stop and put it back on.
We also do the baton race where the kids break up into 4 groups and they run around the circle handing off the baton to each kid in their group. Last kid to run knocks over their cone to show they have completed race.
Another one you can do with the bean bags is to set-up cones in the middle of your circle and have the kids break into 4 groups again, have each kid run around the circle once and when they get to their cone they stop and start tossing their bean bag at their cone and whoever knocks over their cone first wins. you have one kid from each group go at a time that way you have 4 kids going against each other at a time. If they miss their cone they have to run and get their bag and try again. Hope this helps.

          Game ideas needed

This coming Wednesday night the theme is Adopt a Club.

The verse God gave me is Eph 1:3-6. I'm trying to plan games to illustrate it.

          I'm planning for Cubbies, T & T then Sparks......

steal the bacon was always a favorite of mine. We would put a chalkboard eraser in the middle of an 8 ft circle and two boys would try to see which one could get the "bacon" and back out of the circle without being touched by the other one.

Kickball, dodgeball, tug of war, steal the bacon, TNT can play ultimate frisbee, wrap a leader in TP is fun. Buy some pool noddles and have two kids startle them and race other teams doing the same.
