I Call Upon The Power Of The GS! (Gas Plant Help)

I need to clean some Raschig rings for a demethanizer here at the site. I'm thinking Simple Green, anyone in plant maintenance, engineering, or the like have any guidance?

Not being familiar with your equip. All I can tell you is that on the production side if you couldn't use varsol or b-12, it was time for it to be replaced.

If the demethanizer is on a cryo you don't want to use any type oil based cleaner. Call someone like Belarco or another cleaning company and have them circulate some green clean over the tower. After they neutralize the solution then you will have to dry out the tower thoroughly. Make sure you isolate the exchangers so you don't get any cleaner into them. If you removed the rings for cleaning, then you can clean them with just about anything and rinse off before reinstalling them. Dawn dish soap works wonders of them.

This is what I was thinking. The tower hasn't been packed yet, so we're good on that end.

            Thanks for the help!

I just build them (Heavy Industrial Construction), we generally don't get involved with what I would call an "operations" function. But the folks we're building this one for aren't in the business of operating them, they just flip them.
