    Camp Water Setup Help

I could use some help from those of you who have setup your camp for water.

    Here is what we have-
    2 Fema trailers-no holding tanks
    1100 gal water tank
    Electricity

What size/configuration of pump will I need for this. I'm assuming I'm also going to need a pressure tank of some kind as well.

    I appreciate any help

We used a pump from Harbor tools. It is a 3/4 hp. It has a pressure tank included. They have a 1 hp for $120. We came off the tank to the pump and tied it to the camp. It worked great.

When I had a lease what I did was to put a 300 gal water tote up on a 10' platform , then ran 2" pipe across the outside wall of the cabin ( about 30' ) then when I 90 Ed into cabin sink I necked it down to 3/4" . Just the 10' of head Pressure was enough to splash water out of the sink , no pump needed

Still need a pump to get the water into the 300 gallon tank.

The pump system from Harbour Freight is probably the simplest way get this done!

So is there a well? I'm assuming you will be hauling in water?

My new lease has a 1000ish gallon tank that catches rain. Electric pump pressurizes the cabin: toilet and shower.

My set up is a 275 gallon tote with a R.V. on demand water pump.

I am currently setting up a system for my cabin and I will be using a 275 gallon tank with a 110volt on demand pump.

I have an electric pump like on a spray rig ran into a 250 gallon tote that my gutter runs into a little bleach now and then and all is good. It runs a shower and sink. I have a splitter so I can turn water on at both or only one location

This is what I am doing also. But if you already have a big tank you still use this pump and just run a hose off the suction side down in the tank. They make these on demand pumps that run on both 12v (battery) or 120v plug in to power outlet. If you have AC power I would go that route so you don't need to mess with a battery. They sell them at Tractor supply also. About $100.

Thanks for all the input. We will have to have water hauled int to fill the tank. My main question was whether or nor I would have to have a pressure tank of some sort and what size/type of pump I would need. Doesnt sound like I'll need a pressure tank. We will just run a pump from the storage tank to the trailer.

No sir, no need for a pressure tank. Just hard wire a on demand pump, plum your water tank to the pump, and then right into your city water hook up on the camper, good to go.

Go to the RV store and get an on demand RV water pump for each trailer. That should fix you up!

No city water, we have an 1100 gal water tank. Will the on demand pump still work?

You might also look into putting gutters on your trailers and piping the water to your holding tank.
