How long to get ceramic cooker to temp?

How long does it take your ceramic cooker to get to cooking temp?

Interested in Ana entry level model. I know charcoal/wood tastes better, but we cook outside often & many times time is short.

About 3 minutes this morning. Ribs at 250. Depends on wind speed and barometric pressure. Wind direction is not a factor if you can turn the cooker.
To answer your question 3-15 minutes for my egg.j

Well I live in Lubbock, so your definition of wind probably differs from mine. It's not windy here til we reach 30 mph!

Just get a weber kettle off craigslist for $20-$30 and a charcoal chimney starter. I will light the charcoal and then start getting stuff ready to put on the grill. By the time the charcoal is ready to go (10-15 mins), my food is ready to go on the grill. I find it is just as easy to cook with charcoal as a gas grill.

The weber can also smoke ribs, pork butt, brisket, etc... I can get it to hold a solid temp using the charcoal snake method and/or minion method.

However, I just realized in no way did I answer your question, and for that I apologize.

Usually about 15 minutes for my Big Green Egg. Don't buy a knock off. Get the real thing. You will never regret it.
