xds recall turnaround

Sending my xds off today. Anyone thats sent theirs, how long til you got it back?

shipped mine last thursday, the 5th, and SA received monday the 9th.

as stated above, the website says 3 weeks. being most of these firearms are for protection versus sport, i hope the turn around time is quicker than that, but i doubt it.

Mine was received at Springfield on the 5th. I'm expecting about 3-5 weeks. I haven't heard of anyone getting theirs back yet.

website says they won't do that, unfortunately. i recall you had issues when you first got yours. did the recall have anything to do with your problems ?

I am holding off on sending mine in too, but I'll get it sent out in the next two or three weeks once the rush is over.

website says they won't do that, unfortunately. i recall you had issues when you first got yours. did the recall have anything to do with your problems ?

The issues were not related. I think they were mostly because of the prp striker spring I installed. Went back to stock

I looked on the xds forum and didnt see any who got theirs back. I think the website said 30 days and the announcement was last couple days of august im doubting any have made it back. I sent mine off monday and looks like it made it wednesday.

I would not expect the turn around will be very quick.

Just assuming the serial numbers are sequential - XS500000 to XS686300 - that is 186,300 recalls. Even if 1/10th that number have sent theirs in for repair 1,863 is a lot of repairs sitting at their facility.

I think I will keep mine at my side until at least January.

Bill i think i should have waited to send in like you are doing. Springfield is reporting they received more than 7000 guns on sept 3 alone. They are saying they had a bigger return on guns than they expected.
