Need GS's Knowledge on "Learning How 2 Best Make A Map of a New Lease and its Stands"

I am going to a place where I will be doing some work on blinds and help setting up bow blinds this weekend. I'd like to be able to mark those locations on some type of app that would allow me to be able to find them again in a few weeks on my own to continue some more work. I have an iphone and ipad. I also have a Garmin in my vehicle (not the fancy one in the dash) and I know I can mark the stands on the Garmin... But, I was looking to see if anyone knows here if I "drop a pin" on the iphone map app of the blinds, bow stands and water sources, can I then come back to a computer and create some type of map with the roads on it? I may be asking way to much and may just have to get lost a few times, but I'd love to be able to just decide I need to go to Stand no. 15 and easily drive to that location. I find the Garmin GPS marks the spots I am parked at, but not necessarily can get me to the location because there are not "real roads."... Any suggestions on anything I can buy for this type of situation. Thanks.. Angie

if you have a smart phone the "antler insanity" app interfaces with google earth and allows you to mark/name multiple spots. the free app also uses a navigation feature for named stands in you list.

i use this app on my i-phone for exactly what you want it for.

You can also add icons for just about anything.

i think "google mapmaker" lets you create a map using google earth where you can put your own boundaries, stands, and roads. could be wrong, but i think i remember playing with it before.

you have to make sure you are editing your own map though and not googles.... i had google email me and ask if i built some new roads and fences or something because i had changed the map for everybody lol.

So you open google earth on your ipad and go to your location and then you choose what feature to mark, ie: a stand (there are fifteen there) and 10 other blinds..... ?

Reconyx has an app that outlines the hunting property and you can mark cameras, stands, scrapes etc.
