Phone and Internet in the Country????

We are currently moving 10 miles west of Lampasas and our ATT cell phones work about 5% of the time and then from only certain spots on the place. I can hardly ever finish a call with out it dropping. Can anyone tell me what phone service would work out there? I also need internet and need to know which to contact? I figured some of my buddies here would know. Thanks, WildEd

We have had Verizon for years. It seems to be the best out this way, our sandpit is out near the Bend and I have trucks out that way everyday, works well for us. I will say that if you are out around Nix there is a black hole that nothing seems to work. None of them are fool proof, but verizon has worked best for us. As far as Internet....we live north of town about 4 miles and had our internet through Dishnetwork, it worked well but not great, got fed up with it and switched to Verizon for that too and other than having to watch our data usage it works great. I hope that helps a little.

I've got ATT and it works fine, but I live in town. Nix is a black hole for sure for any user. lol. I have heard that Verizon is pretty good around there. Out at Bend, I have Zero service, but most times when I'm out there, that's fine by me.

You may look into a cell signal booster. I have one from Wilson Electronics.

What kdog saig. I just installed one at our place that had weak siginal an now I talk from inside the house.. got me a tablet and now have internet as well... all with att
