nice work. On the crown molding do you butt the floor up to it or do you install the molding after floor is laid?

Crown molding goes at the wall/ceiling joint...it depends on base boards. I usually leave the base and lay up to it and finish with shoe molding or quarter round. If the base is old and beat up, then you can replace base and skip shoe mold.
