If they are anything like the Tacoma you wont be disappointed! Im closing in on 200k hard miles on my 07 and Ive only replaced a couple wheel bearings, mainly due to big tires and offset rims. Running the beach and flood tides in that crushed shell will wreak havoc.

We have an '07 with about 110k on the odometer. Only negatives are the C pillar blind spot and some wind howl at low speed from the roof rack. We get a consistant 20 mpg but probably have a 80/20 hwy/cty ratio.

I read last week that they are going to discontinue selling new FJs in the USA after 2014. I think that the wife wants to buy a new one before that happens as this has been our absolute favorite vehicle ever.

I bought a 2008 with 8k miles for $24000. I drove it for 3 years and put on 82k miles. I traded it in for $18500.
only downside was it wasnt a truck.

I went to the Toyota dealership a little over a month ago in search of a Tacoma. They did not have anything I liked but we started talking about a 2012 FJ sitting on the lot. I ended up taking it for a test drive and loved it. We worked out all the financing before I came to my senses and remembered that I wanted a Tacoma! I apologized and said I that I changed my mind.
I bet they are still talking trash about me.
Told the wife that her next car will be an FJ. I just hope she agrees when its time to buy.

Thank you for the feedback. I figured being a Toyota it would be reliable. But I knew I would get some straight answers from the TBH brain trust. Thanks again, I will be looking at a Toyota Certified used FJ tomorrow.

                  TBH is awesome!!

Make sure it doesn't have a cracked windshield . Very costly replacement. About 3 times what a normal windshield cost.
