To all you fellas that have gone thru one with kids how do you explain to them are convince them everything will be ok.Tonite my wife tells me she wants a divorice and I say u don't think we can work thru this she says no well long story short my 9yr. old is in the next room listening to everything now he is all tore up along with me I just want the best for him and really not let this mess with his head and on top of this his schooling.Thanks for any info.

I've been through this, It is hard and it sucks but remember "If GOD brings you to it He will bring you through it" you are not alone you never have been and you will never will be. Pray to GOD asking for strenght, wisdom, guidance, patients. for yourself your wife and your children. like Bonesplitter said be there for your children whenever they need you to be. Never and I mean never talk bad about your wife expecally in front of your children, It never helps and often backfires. Keep GOD at the center of your life and never make decisions out of hate or madness.

If she's not willing to do any work there's not much you can do to save it. Pray and keep a journal and spend as much time with your son making sure he knows its going to be ok. Me and my first wife divorced when my oldest was only 1.5 yrs old so my situation was different. It was the last thing in the world I wanted. She was not willing to work on saving anything. I worked on myself and moved on with life. You need to protect yourself and your assets ASAP. Be there for your son and it will work out. I'll pray for you and your family.
