    Help an addict out

My buddy and i are in Wichita Falls for 30 days for some training. We are stationed in England, so being back in the motherland means that i HAVE to get some hunting in. Problem is, i dont know anybody up here and have no place to hunt. I am just looking to get some hog hunting in. If yall know of some public land, land owners that will allow me to remove some pigs off of their property, or even a cheap day lease it would be greatly appreciated. I am even up for driving a ways to get my "fix" in.

    Thanks in advanced!

Most posts have training areas that you can also hunt on when not being used. I would contact, and I forget who, someone on the base to get assigned a lot number. When I was at Ft. Polk, they allowed hunting in "The Box" when not in use. You just signed up for a lot number...first come first served, but it was your lot to hunt so you knew nobody else would be on that same area. Most posts are set up the same way. Also check TPW for WMA's in the area to hunt on while there. The last time I bought a WMA tag it was 48 bucks and allowed access to any WMA. Also, most National Forests, while not allowing Deer hunting, will allow you to hunt hogs as they tear up the forest and will waive all entry fees. I found that out when I went to Milam, Tx and contacted the Sabine National Forest. I was told by the National Forest people that they didn't care if it was rifle or bow, just to make sure of my target and kill as many hogs as I could.
