    3-legged buck

I was in SE Kansas over the weekend checking some trail cams and hanging some stands. There was a 3-legged buck visiting one of my trail cam sites for most of July. Here's a video montage I put together using the video clips from my trail cam. I was hoping to see how well he gets around, but he didn't move much in the video clips. It looks like the injury to his right rear leg has affected the antler growth on his left side. Pretty interesting.

Here's a video montage of other bucks that visited the camera site. I hope to get a shot at that last one.

I normally use a Trophy Rock, but at this site I decided to try the pre-mixed Deer Cane product in the white jug. I poured it on the log and the surrounding ground. I must admit that it worked better than I expected. I refreshed the site on Saturday with another jug of Deer Cane. 10 weeks passed from the time I placed the cam until I returned to check it.

I think its weird how the injury effects the antler growth on the opposite side ! Prime example of that ! Cool Video. Thanks for posting it !

I think he will make the AR requirement. Definitely a unique buck in more than one way.

If you look close you can see that he developed a small kicker on the right G2 and G3. It looks like he would actually be a pretty nice buck were it not for the injury. I am curious whether a buck in that kind of shape has any chance of winning over some does to breed.

I am just curious how on earth he could actually manage to breed a doe since he would only have a 1 legged platform.

You can't breed on one leg?
