    Yeti: White VS Tan

Was talking to a buddy and were talking about Yeti's. I told him I wanted to get a tan Yeti and he told me that White was the way to go as they hold ice longer. Is this true? White holds ice longer than Tan?

PS- I am only buying a Yeti bc I got giftcards for my birthday to Academy and want a small roadie. So not looking for a Brute vs Yeti debate. Both make great products. Just trying to burn my giftcards.

    You forgot about Ice blue.

    Ice Blue - Good
    Tan - Gooderer
    White - Gooderest.

Really I have no clue. Probably ain't nary a bit of difference.

I believe color would only make a difference in the amount of sunlight heat it attracts.

Yeah it says in the owners manual that tan attracts more sunlight.. A tan and a white cooler empty will have different inside temps..

DING DING - This is the one!

If you use one to sit on....along the coast during July - September - white makes for a cooler butt park!

I'm using a 45 on my flats boat for a front casting platform (stand on as you work a fly rod and or casting rod). The white top, for those who prefer to stand and cast in bare feet.....it makes a difference!

This is very true. I have a white and tan and the tan still looks new after 2 years while the white is marked up good.

I have the tan 75qt. When i get home i will take a picture of mine. When I caught my house on fire Labor Day weekend my Yeti was on the front porch about 3 foot from the flames other than the heat deforming the stickers it came out of the fire without a scratch. Get a tan one the are FIREPROOF!!!

i don't notice a difference in ice retention. I do notice a difference in keeping that sucker clean.

I also have a tan one and two white ones. Self explanatory about what I prefer, WHITE
